Part 1: WYD2011 Deaf Australian Youth getting ready for their trip.
We left good old Sydney on 8th of August 2011 for the World Youth Day in Madrid 2011. However we went to Italy first for a week. We went to Rome, Orvieto, Assisi, Siena, the mighty Florence and Milan for a week before going to Madrid Spain. We saw so many awesome churches and old sites. Many buildings are over 500 years old. It was unbelievable.
Why this WYD Madrid 2011?
The World Youth Day 2011 was the 2011 occurrence of World Youth Day, a Catholic event held from August 16-21, 2011 in Madrid, Spain focused on youth. It is a great worldwide encounter with the Pope which is celebrated every three years in a different country. This time it will be celebrated in Madrid from August 16th to 21st, 2011.
